November 2019 Fast-Weigh Update

Update Notes

It's time to roll out another Fast-Weigh software update. Changes to the web portal will take place immediately, while the desktop ticketing application for Windows 10 will be updated over the next few weeks. Read on for details:

Web Portal

1. New Unit Conversion tool

Selling by units other than tons? You can now weigh the material in tons and convert it to something else automatically!

  • Go to Resources > Products and edit a product's pricing. Plug in a Tonnage Conversion for the product, and it will auto-convert at the time of ticketing.

Example: If you sell water by the gallon, 1 ton of water is 239.65 gallons. You would fill in 239.65 for tonnage conversion for the water product and it will convert the scale weight into the proper gallon amount for you!

2. Latitude/longitude is now set at the Yard level rather than the Location level.
  • Go to Resources > Locations to view this change.

3. On the Reports page, we now have a change log listing new report formats that will be updated each time one is released

Changes to Fast-Weigh Dispatching:
4. Reworked the Dispatch setup screen

Much better!

5. Can now add a product for multiple locations to your Dispatch

Instead of have an individual dispatch for one product at one location, you can create a dispatch for a product that can be picked up from any of your locations.

6. Can now assign ticket types to specific Trucks on a dispatch (rather than setting it for the entire Dispatch)

Need to have one truck receive a ticket at pickup and another receive at delivery? Now you can set the ticket type by truck instead of by dispatch

7. Latitude/Longitude can now be specified per Dispatch, not just per Order

The latitude/longitude established for the delivery location on an Order now flows down to the Dispatch Setup screen, but can also be customized at the Dispatch level

8. Ability to opt out of driver notifications when making changes to dispatches

You can now opt out of automatically notifying drivers when you add/remove trucks and save the Dispatch. For example, you can disable notifications while making edits to a dispatch, and then choose to send the notification once everything looks good.

Desktop Scale App for Windows 10

1. New Unit Conversion support

If you set up a conversion factor on the Web Portal, the Desktop Ticketing App will now automatically convert your units from Weighed Tons to the Product's specified Unit of Measure.

2. New dropdown menu on the ticketing screen, which now includes a dispatch list

3. New product specification and test results tracking

The Desktop Ticketing App now supports storing Product Specification/Testing Values. You can assign custom values to specific products from specific sources, which can then be printed on the ticket.

Mobile Ticketing App for Android/iOS

Additional support for barcode scanning

When receiving a ticket from an outside source, barcode scanning now populates the quantity field
