January 2020 Software Update: Fast-Weigh Web Portal

Update Notes

This evening, we're rolling out another Fast-Weigh software update. Changes to the web portal will take place immediately, while the Fast-Weigh Scale Ticketing app for Windows 10 is scheduled for release in early February. Read on for update details:

Fast-Weigh Web Portal Update

1. Dashboard Redesign

Check out the newly designed Fast-Weigh Dashboard! We've combined the Graphs and Charts pages into a single Dashboard view and added a number of additional enhancements.

  • Resource tiles
    Use the filters up top to view summary tiles for a given location/date range.
  • Tabbed navigation for production grids and charts
    With tabbed navigation, your production data is now better organized and easier to find

2. NEW - Enhanced Reporting Engine

  • We have now optimized Fast-Weigh Reports, moving it to its own separate browser tab in order to provide better performance and reliability for our customers.
  • Note: Moving forward, the Reports page will open in a new tab or window. You can get back to the Web Portal by clicking on the previous tab/window. Here's a quick video:

3. NEW - Resources > Salespeople

The new Salesperson item allows you to assign salespeople to specific Customers, Quotes, and Orders.

  • A Salesperson assigned to a Customer will also carry over to any new Orders made for that Customer. This can also be overridden at the Order level.
  • A Salesperson assigned to a Quote will also carry over to any new Orders created from the Quote. This can also be overridden at the Order level.

We have also provided additional reporting for the Salespeople (see New Reports section below).

4. Quotes
  • Order UDFs (User-Defined Fields) now appear on Quotes as well
    Note: You can establish Order UDFs by going to Portal Settings > User-Defined Fields
  • New Salesperson field added to Quotes

5. Customers

We've added a new Customer Note feature to the Customer setup screen for internal reference.

6. Tax Codes
  • NEW - Tax Percentage Reporting Breakout allows you to enter individual portions that make up the overall tax, for use in our new tax reports.

  • Default Tax Codes can now be set at the Product Pricing level. These will override Tax Codes set at the Customer level, but can still be customized for products within an Order.

7. Ticket Query

The Ticket Query grid has been enhanced to display the freight rates and amounts for any orders that utilize Haul Zones.

8. Ticket Email Notifications

Ticket Email Notifications have been updated to include more information:

  • Ticket Number
  • Date
  • Origin (ticketing location)
  • Order
  • Product
  • Delivery Location
  • PO Number
  • Job
  • Truck
  • Net Quantity
  • Ticket Note

9. Orders

  • We've added a Delete All Products option to the Order Product table, allowing you to delete products on an order with no ticket activity.

10. NEW - Search & Filter Features
  • New Search field has been added to resource lists including Quotes, Orders, Trucks, Haulers, Products, and Customers.
  • New Clear Filters option has been added to resource lists, allowing the user to clear all filters simultaneously
  • System now remembers all filters applied to a resource list until the user clears them.

11. New Reports

We have a number of new reports to support the new Salesperson resource:

  • Customer Listing by Salesperson
  • Order Listing by Salesperson
  • Salesperson Summary
  • Order Detail by Salesperson
  • Order Summary by Salesperson
  • Customer Detail by Salesperson

12. Other Updates

  • Removing a user account now removes any Email Notifications set up for the corresponding user.
  • Fixed issue in which tare weights were not being stored on the Web Portal if the tare weight was identical to the previous value.
